Neither. Buy a pair of small in-ear-monitors. They'll sound far better, do double duty with your MP34 player, and isolate more drum noise than even the nasty-sounding Vic Firths. Some provide over 20DB of isolation... perhaps enough that you'll have trouble following the drums! Also, despite the tiny size, they WILL carry bass notes, as they're very unlike earbuds.
