Why did europe become isolated from the world and what caused it to emerge from isolation?

please i need fast for my us history homeworkWhy did europe become isolated from the world and what caused it to emerge from isolation?
Europe was primitive when most of the middle eastern cultures like Egypt, Babylon, etc. were in power. Greece and Rome were in Europe, although the Roman Empire included parts of Asia and Africa. Northern Europe, current day Germany, France, England, etc. were more primitive in Roman days.

During the middle ages and beyond Europe was largely isolated from parts of the world by geography, but not totally. The Crusades brought them in contact (through war) with the middle East, then they began to trade for spices, leading eventually to the discovery of the New World.

After the age of discovery, the European powers began to colonize most of the outside world, America, Asia, Africa, etc. were colonized to one degree or another for the next few hundred years. I guess that was 'coming out of isolation'. To the Chinese or Indians the Europeans may have been in 'isolation', but so were they in the eyes of the Europeans. Why did europe become isolated from the world and what caused it to emerge from isolation?
Ihave no idea what you are talking about. When exactly is Europe supposed to have become isolated from the rest of the world? I know of no period when this occured. Certainlhy there was a time when parts of the world were unknown to Europeans, the Americas, Australai, new Zealand etc, but that's hardly our fault, is it?

People who have said that Europe was isolated during the Middle Ages are talking rot. We were no such thing, and we were trading with the Middle East for spices long before the time of the crusades.
europe was NEVER isolated from the rest of the world. Even in Roman times it had trade links with China, India and Ethiopia.

You might get a better answer if you are a bit more specific- time, precise area?
i believe she means during the Dark Ages (500 CE- 1500 CE)

they became isolated because of there personalities (explains why its called Dark Ages) Europe emerged shortly after Christianity was introduced

followed by the Renaissance period
Do you mean the splendid isolation policy that Britain adopted during the 19th century?
uh what are you talking about?

5000 years ago? 5 minutes ago?

At least give the time span you are talking about.
