Explain how isolation affects the many countries and territories within the Pacific Realm?

It can be good or bad depending upon how you view their civilization and way of life.

Isolation in terms of an economic view can drive up prices and make access to goods and services difficult or scarce.

If you are from a developed country and move to an isolated location it can make for trying times and a hard way of life unless you have a plan for access to goods and services you are accustomed to having.

On the other hand, if you are from a civilization that has not been exposed to a modern lifestyle while living a simple life centered upon family, traditions and subsistence living, your life may be better without the creature comforts of ';modern society'; such as automobiles, high technology and a structured economic system.

In addition, when Europeans settlers arrived in the New World, sickness and diseases were introduced to indigenous peoples that caused great harm.

A problem with making contact with isolated peoples is that they lack any immunity to common diseases which explorers, trying to make contact with them, will inevitably carry. This can have severe consequences as normally minor diseases, such as the chicken pox, can be deadly when no natural immunity exists.
