Isolation of bacteria by dilution techniques?

5- How do the colonies on the surface of the pore plate differ from the colonies suspended in the agar?

1- How would you determine whether a colony was a contamenant on a streak plate?

2- What would happen if the plates were incubated a week longer, a month?

3- How did the media compositon affect bacterial growth?Isolation of bacteria by dilution techniques?
These sound like lab questions. Which means you should have been able to actually look at things to answer some of them (like questions 5 and 3).

1- a streak plate has a particular pattern, a contaminant would be outside the pattern, or would be obviously different from the other colonies.

2- longer incubation makes the colonies bigger and they all run into each other making it impossible to isolate them.
