Is isolation the key to successful endeavors?

Isolation or solitude is typically necessary to help formulate and clarify ideas. It's also necessary to work alone when you try to first express your ideas in a way that other people might understand them. Having said this, collaboration and feedback are essential to refining your ideas and to clarify what type of language other people will understand.

Most successful people alternate between isolation and collaboration. It is important to have a clear understanding of what you want to accomplish and how you might go about achieving your goals, but we all have limitted experience. Only through discussion and interaction can we see our own errors or the limitations of our thought processes.

Everyone has to do their own work to succeed, but we need to work with others to make a good idea great and useful to other people. Is isolation the key to successful endeavors?
That depends on what kind of endeavors you mean. It would be hard to imagine Mozart composing while surrounded by a lot of chatty people. Or a mathematician or physicist figuring out a complicated problem at a wild party. On the other hand, if you are a politician trying to convince people to adopt your ideas, isolation is not helpful. Is isolation the key to successful endeavors?
Isolation is always best when you are using brain power. Scientists seclude themselves in their labs for weeks while analyzing formulas. It's like a ritual...in some cases...you need peace, quiet, and pure mental focus in order to sucessfully fulfill your endeavor.

I do have a question : You're not trying to build a nuclear weapon or something right??
